High-Efficiency PC Power Supplies Save You Money
CyberResearch. Inc. proudly introduces our new 80% efficient power supplies. Typical efficiencies of older models ran around 60%. The new supplies support loads from 350W to 1000W. They accept 12 and 24VDC inputs or AC frequencies from 47 to 63Hz, with input voltages from 100 to 240VAC or better.
The new high-efficiency CyberResearch® power supplies save users money in three ways: First, they use roughly one quarter less energy than the old power supplies that they replace. Second, they save the cost of removing that 25% of energy that just produces unwanted heat. Third, they cut operating costs because PCs that run cooler last longer and perform better.
Here's how the math works: Power supplies are rated by the power they deliver to your PC, so a supply rated for 750W and 60% efficiency requires about 1250W (750/0.6 = 1250). The leftover 500W turns to heat inside your PC -- exactly where you don't want it! In contrast, our 80% efficient PWR 750GB requires only about 938W of AC power, losing 188W instead of 500W and eliminating 312W of unnecessary cooling and unwanted cost. |
