Our CY IAC/IDC series power sensing modules allow you to interface your PC to real-world AC and DC power lines. The feature only genuine Opto 22 products, the leader in the field, and the name that is synonymous with solid-state relays. All AC and DC input modules, with the exception of the CY ICD5B and CY IDC5D, have a bridge-rectifier input, and accept AC or DC inputs. The CY IDC5B is a fast-switching input module for signals produced by photoelectric switches or TTL-level devices. The CY IDC5D is a low-cost DC only input module for use in data acquisition applications. Each module provides up to 4,000Vrms of optical isolation between the field inputs and the output side of the circuit.
Output (or power) relays use a low-level output signal from a DIO module to open or close an output power circuit that is typically rated at hundreds of volts and 1 to 5 amps. In the CyberResearch numbering system, OAC relays are AC Output relays and ODC relays are DC output relays.
Conversely, an input (or power-sensing) relay uses power-level voltages to open or close a logic-level connection to an input line on a DIO module. CyberResearch IAC relays are AC input models and IDC relays are DC input models. |
