Our CYDAS 1000 series PCI boards offer a good balance between speed, channel count, and cost. With the right signal conditioning, they quickly and accurately collect your measurements of temperature, strain, voltage, and other industrial parameters. All of the CYDAS 1000 PCI boards are completely plug-and-play. Completely software driven, there are no switches, jumpers, or potentiometers to set.
Analog Input
Each board in our CYDAS 1000 family provides 16 single-ended or 8 differential inputs. To simplfy programming and help ensure maximum data throughput, an on-board FIFO buffer can hold up to 1024 samples. The FIFO buffer simplifies program timing under Windows®, allowing data to be transfered to your PC's memory without the possibilty of missed samples.
Analog Outputs
The CYDAS 1001DAP and CYDAS 1002DAP provide two analog outputs (D/A channels), with 16-bit accuracy. They have typical settling times of 4 microseconds, which should theoretically produce throughputs up to 250kHz. However, these boards take their instructions directly from your software, so actual throughput rates may be affected by the speed of your PC and software.
All three boards have software-selectable output ranges of 0-10VDC, 0-5VDC, +/-10VDC, and +/-5VDC. Ranges are separately selectable for each output channel, with outputs that are accurate to up to +/-1 LSB. Each output can drive loads up to +/-5mA, and is protected against short circuits. Outputs are cleared to 0 volts on power-up or reset.
Digital I/O
All the boards provide 24 bits of digital I/O. Configured as two 8-bit ports and two 4-bit I/O ports, each of these ports can be set independently as input or output via software. The boards offer TTL-level outputs (2.5mA, either sink or source).
Counter/Timer
The boards provide three 16-bit down-counters with clock, gate, and output connections for each counter. The counter clock may be connected to the on-board 10MHz crystal oscillator, or to an I/O line of your choice. |
