The MetraByte™ DAS-8 and DAS-16 data acquisition boards were first introduced in the mid-80s, and over the years they have been designed into thousands of applications. But while the cost of manufacturing and components dropped over the years, the price from Keithley/MetraByte did not.
This gave CyberResearch the opportunity to design boards that are identical in form, fit, and function, but much lower on price. Out CYDAS 8 and CYDAS 16 series are register and connector compatible with MetraByte's models, so all the software you've written and all the test fixtures you've designed will continue to work transparently. This is the cost-effective way to duplicate an existing system which has been built around a MetraByte DAS-8 or DAS-16.
CYDAS 8 boards are ideal for low to medium-speed applications, while CYDAS 16 boards are better for medium to high-speed applications, such as signal analysis, frquency, vibration and transient analysis, and industrial monitoring. |
