Introduction

COMHP 7105 is a one-channel PCI bus serial communication card. It's field-selectable RS-422/485/530 port supports asynchronous data rates up to 480.6 kbps. It includes a 16850 UART, which provides deep 128-byte buffers. The 16850 makes programming easy because it emulates the more common 16550 UART.

COMHP 7105-X is similar, but it includes a 16950 UART, which adds isochronous communications, 9-bit protocol, and programmble choice of transmission speed. It's recommended for savvy programmers.
