Introduction

The CYCTM 05P is a high-performance, low-cost, PCI-bus, counter/timer board. It has five independent 16-bit counters, which can be chained together via software to provide a 32-, 48-, 64-, or 80-bit counter. Each of the five counters has an input source, count register, load register, hold register, alarm register, output, and gate.

An 8-bit high-current digital output port provides logic-level control; it can be used to switch solid-state relays. An 8-bit digital input port can be used to sense contact closures.
