These solid-state nonvolatile flash drives are fully compatible drop-in replacements for standard SATA 2.5" hard disk drives, but use less power and generate less heat. With no moving parts there's nothing to wear out, so data is retained for more than ten years. They have an operational shock rating of 1500g.
