Introduction

MOD 050 (5-slot) and MOD100 (10-slot) modular PCs offer a new aproach to high-density computing. With a MOD RACK carrier, you can fit up to 4 PC systems with a total of 20 slots in 5U of rack height.

High-density, mission-critical computer applications have traditionally relied on fault-tolerant PCs with segmented backplanes. But that approach means that a malfunction in a shared component may cause several computers to fail at the same time. A cost-effective solution is to use MOD 050 and MOD 100 modular PCs, each one a complete system, operating independently of the others.
