Introduction

The ORM 266E-2 comes in a standard NEMA 23 mounting size. Sporting a low-vibration, low-noise design, the motor significantly outperforms other motors its size. It features a keyed shaft for easy, slip-free attachment of your load.

By splitting the center tap of the winding of this 8-wire motor, you can now run your motion system in bipolar parallel mode. This is more efficient than driving the full winding because the energy consumed by winding increases as a square of its size. Parallel operation in effect gives you twice as many windings, each of which is smaller and more efficient. Motor performance is significantly improved, using more current per phase.
