Introduction

The simplest way to protect your data is to take it out of the PC. The HDDM 400SB turns ordinary Serial ATA (SATA) hard drives into convenient, pull-out, drives you can take home or store in a secure location. The HDDM 400SB pull-out drive mounting system mounts a 3.5" drive in a 5.25" drive bay and consist of three components:

HDDM 402SB frames permanently mount in a drive bay in a computer.
HDDM 401SB modules slide into the frames. We call the module/frame combination an HDDM 400SB "kit."
Hard drives mount inside modules and are rarely removed from them. Hard drives are not included in HDDM kits, but are sold separately.
