CyberResearch's rugged SSD Series flash drives are ideal for challenging industrial, military, and mobile applications. These solid-state nonvolatile flash drives are fully compatible drop-in replacements for standard SATA 2.5" hard disk drives, but have seek times roughly 200 times faster than typical hard drives, with comparable sustained data-transfer rates. With no moving parts there's nothing to wear out, so data is retained for more than ten years. They have an operational shock rating of 1500g--the rough equivalent of a 10-foot drop.
